{"id":12568,"date":"2025-08-14T15:46:35","date_gmt":"2025-08-14T15:46:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pourlasolidarite.eu\/?post_type=event&#038;p=12568"},"modified":"2025-09-16T13:17:20","modified_gmt":"2025-09-16T13:17:20","slug":"pedaling-forward-building-inclusive-and-professional-cycle-logistics-in-europe","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/pourlasolidarite.eu\/en\/event\/pedaling-forward-building-inclusive-and-professional-cycle-logistics-in-europe\/","title":{"rendered":"Pedaling Forward : Building Inclusive and Professional Cycle Logistics in Europe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"166\" data-end=\"397\">These are the questions that the partners of the CICLE project invite you to debate at the project\u2019s final conference on 14 October 2025 (9:00\u201312:30): <strong>Pedaling Forward : Building Inclusive and Professional Cycle Logistics in Europe<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"399\" data-end=\"479\">Through two round tables and field testimonies, the conference will highlight:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"481\" data-end=\"720\">\n<li data-start=\"481\" data-end=\"585\">\n<p data-start=\"483\" data-end=\"585\"><strong>The career paths, skills, and professional recognition needs<\/strong> of cycle logisticians and field actors;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"586\" data-end=\"720\">\n<p data-start=\"588\" data-end=\"720\"><strong>The barriers or obstacles to the inclusion <\/strong>of women and people of foreign origin in cycling and in the cycle logistics profession.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"722\" data-end=\"843\">Particular attention will be given to the monitoring and implementation of recommendations at the European Union level.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"845\" data-end=\"925\">On this occasion, the CICLE partners will present the project results, namely:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"927\" data-end=\"1447\">\n<li data-start=\"927\" data-end=\"1045\">\n<p data-start=\"929\" data-end=\"1045\"><strong>An in-depth analysis of the sector in Europe<\/strong>, existing training programmes, and the skills required on the ground;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1046\" data-end=\"1286\">\n<p data-start=\"1048\" data-end=\"1286\"><strong>An inclusive and tailored skills framework<\/strong> for bicycle courier trainers, co-constructed with different stakeholders across Europe, linking the profession to a set of well-defined skills aimed at better recognition at the European level;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1287\" data-end=\"1447\">\n<p data-start=\"1289\" data-end=\"1447\"><strong>Inclusive promotional tools<\/strong> to address the lack of diversity within bicycle courier teams, by providing a better image and representation of the profession.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1449\" data-end=\"1586\">Whether you cycle out of passion or not at all, the cycle logistics profession requires skills and can be learned like any other trade.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1629\" data-end=\"2031\">Implemented since October 2023, the CICLE project aims to support the development of cycle logistics in Europe by professionalising bicycle courier training.
