Audiovisual Media: A Driver of Employment, Skills, and Engagement for Young Europeans<\/h2>\n

The world of audiovisual media, in constant evolution, holds tremendous potential for innovation and expression. It offers a fertile ground for developing technical, collaborative, and creative skills \u2014 all valuable assets for youth employment.<\/p>\n

This was the experience of 45 young adults from Belgium, Italy, and Hungary who jointly organized the Moonstep Festival<\/a>, an international short film festival. Guided by the partners of the BE-UNIT project, these young people took part in a technical and professional training program combining in-person sessions and online mentoring, enabling them to acquire concrete skills in audiovisual production and event management. This experience also allowed them to co-develop an advocacy document aimed at promoting social inclusion and the socio-professional development of young people, targeted at public decision-makers.<\/p>\n

We invite you to discover this advocacy work during the conference \u201cImproving European youngsters\u2019 employability in the audiovisual sector and their active citizenship\u201d, as well as the methodology implemented by the BE UNIT European project<\/a> partners to strengthen young people\u2019s skills and empower them to organize not only the Moonstep Festival, but also other short film screening events in their respective countries.<\/p>\n

A conference on youth inclusion through culture and audiovisual media<\/h2>\n

The event will also feature distinguished speakers Thomas Blondeel<\/strong> (Smart Cooperative), Estelle Ceulemans<\/strong> (Member of the European Parliament), and St\u00e9phanie Leempoels<\/strong> (Creative Europe Programme), who will give speak on the status of artists and of European funding opportunities.<\/p>\n

Finally, the conference will conclude with the screening of the award-winning short films from the Moonstep Festival:<\/p>\n
