Many associations see their actions as part of a drive to move towards<\/strong> a more responsible society, one that is more respectful of people and nature. However, many of them encounter obstacles and difficulties<\/strong> in changing their practices<\/strong> to limit their environmental impact.<\/p>\n

To meet this need<\/strong>, the guide “Embarking on the ecological transition – A methodological guide to improving internal practices in associations<\/strong>” is aimed at employees, volunteers, users, members… to help them work as a team<\/strong>, as a collective, and commit their association<\/strong> to an ecological transformation. The aim is to inspire<\/strong> the men and women who make up small and medium-sized associations (with between zero and 25 employees) to take action.<\/p>\n

The guide offers a methodology for questioning one’s practices in six areas<\/strong>: purchasing, waste, mobility, buildings and flows, digital technology and biodiversity. It provides information on the ecological impact of actions taken<\/strong> and offers resources<\/strong> for those wishing to go further. Tool sheets<\/strong> are provided to help people get started and launch ambitious projects. The guide also presents examples of associations<\/strong> in different European countries<\/strong>, showing that it is possible to make progress, even if you are a small organisation with few resources.<\/p>\n

This guide has been produced as part of the European project TEDDA (Ecological transition of associations)<\/strong><\/a>. Aimed at supporting European associations in their ecological transition<\/strong> through the creation of innovative training tools<\/strong>, the TEDDA project is a strategic partnership funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme<\/strong>, bringing together 5 partners in 3 European countries<\/strong>: Belgium, Spain and France.<\/p>\n

You can also reserve your place at the final public conference<\/strong> of the TEDDA project, in Brussels on Thursday 30 November 2023<\/strong>, by filling in this form<\/strong><\/a> (registration is free and compulsory).
