{"id":4315,"date":"2020-08-25T09:15:44","date_gmt":"2020-08-25T09:15:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hw54cbngfn.preview.infomaniak.website\/project\/activ-domestic-violence-and-return-employment\/"},"modified":"2025-02-10T15:53:55","modified_gmt":"2025-02-10T15:53:55","slug":"activ-domestic-violence-and-return-employment","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/pourlasolidarite.eu\/en\/project\/activ-domestic-violence-and-return-employment\/","title":{"rendered":"ACTIV : domestic violence and return to employment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to a study by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) from 2014, 1 in 3 European women is confronted with gender-related violence and <strong>more than 1 in 5 European women<\/strong> is confronted with <strong>domestic violence<\/strong>. A situation which has clearly worsened following the<strong> Covid-19 crisis<\/strong>. Highlighting <strong>the role of the company<\/strong> in taking care of women confronted with such violence, PLS committed itself in 2017 to <a href=\"https:\/\/pourlasolidarite.eu\/fr\/project\/cease-le-reseau-belge-des-employeurses-engagees-contre-les-violences-conjugales\" target=\"_blank\">the CEASE project<\/a> aiming at the creation of a European network of companies committed against domestic violence.<\/p>\n<p>Today, PLS continues the work it has started and notes<strong> the lack of collaboration between the different actors involved in the socioprofessional (re)integration of women confronted with domestic violence<\/strong> who have to overcome a certain number of obstacles in their return to work. In order to offer effective help and support, <strong>support and guidance structures and companies<\/strong> must work hand in hand.<\/p>\n<h2>What are the objectives?<\/h2>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm\">Publication of a<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/pourlasolidarite.eu\/news\/violences-faites-aux-femmes-1er-guide-dedie-lamelioration-de-leur-reinsertion\/\" target=\"_blank\">guide<\/a>&nbsp;highlighting the main steps of a successful return to work <\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li lang=\"en-GB\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\">Putting definitions, European and national contexts and legal frameworks (Belgium, France, Romania, Spain) into perspective ;<\/li>\n<li lang=\"en-GB\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\">Identification of the limits, but also of positive initiatives which can help the socio-professional (re)integration of women confronted with domestic violence ;<\/li>\n<li lang=\"en-GB\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\">Proposal of a framework of common indicators facilitating mutual understanding between the actors involved in the return-to-work process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm\">Creation of a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/activproject.eu\/resources\/toolkit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">learning toolbox<\/a> for the structures involved<\/strong> in the return to work process for women who are confronted with domestic violence :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li lang=\"en-GB\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\">Organisation of 4 hackathons and collaborative development of the learning tools;<\/li>\n<li lang=\"en-GB\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\">Direct involvement of women in order to strengthen their self-confidence and to ensure that the tools developed meet their needs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm\">Publication of a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/pourlasolidarite.eu\/publication\/reinsertion-socioprofessionnelle-des-femmes-victimes-de-violences-conjugales-le\/\" target=\"_blank\">white paper<\/a> aimed at policy makers, corporate actors and all organisations working on the subject<\/strong> with concrete recommendations to improve support for women in their return-to-work journey.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm\">Raising awareness of the challenges of the socio-professional reintegration of women confronted with domestic violence via :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li lang=\"en-GB\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\">A vast communication and dissemination campaign, including the creation of a website and free access to the project tools ;<\/li>\n<li lang=\"en-GB\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\">Dissemination events at national and European levels;<\/li>\n<li lang=\"en-GB\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\">The strengthening of existing networks and the development of new synergies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>By whom?<\/h2>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm\">European collaboration allows for the cross-fertilisation of experiences, filling gaps, and learning from what is being done in North, South and Eastern Europe.
