{"id":6544,"date":"2016-06-30T08:54:59","date_gmt":"2016-06-30T08:54:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hw54cbngfn.preview.infomaniak.website\/publication\/women-management-smes-comparative-study-2\/"},"modified":"2016-06-30T08:54:59","modified_gmt":"2016-06-30T08:54:59","slug":"women-management-smes-comparative-study-2","status":"publish","type":"publication","link":"https:\/\/pourlasolidarite.eu\/en\/publication\/women-management-smes-comparative-study-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Women in management of SMEs: comparative study"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Even if the well known<strong> quotas<\/strong> \u2013 imposed or not \u2013 have highly contributed to the improvement of gender equality in the economic decision-making process, small companies remain on the outside of all these arrangements, whatever incentives or not.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>What barriers and opportunities do women face in small companies in Europe?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Generally speaking, <strong>gender equality<\/strong> is higher in <strong>social enterprises<\/strong> than in <strong>conventional ones<\/strong>. Yet in both types of<strong> <\/strong>companies, we find the same gender stereotypes. None of those two types of organizations have set up measures to support women&#8217;s access to decision-making positions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The different Members States covered by the study (<strong>Belgium<\/strong>, <strong>Czech Republic<\/strong>, <strong>Finland<\/strong>, <strong>France<\/strong>, <strong>Italy<\/strong>,<strong> <\/strong><strong>Romania<\/strong>) differ by their historical path and by the policies they adopted those last decades, in particular with regard to work-life balance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The study opens up on several <strong>recommendations <\/strong>to implement at the European and national levels as well as in companies to support <strong>women&#8217;s access to decision-making<\/strong> positions in European<strong> SMEs<\/strong>, regardless their size or their social impact.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":6547,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_crsspst_to_hw54cbnnavpreviewinfomaniakwebsite":false,"_crsspst_to_hw54cbnnbbpreviewinfomaniakwebsite":false,"_crsspst_to_hw54cbnnbdpreviewinfomaniakwebsite":false},"internal_contacts":[],"countries":[727],"thematics":[748,750,752],"publications_types":[786],"class_list":["post-6544","publication","type-publication","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","countries-european-union","thematics-csr-diversity","thematics-discrimination-en","thematics-gender","publications_types-studies-cases"],"acf":{"content_resume":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Social or classic companies\u2026.
