{"id":7644,"date":"2023-11-17T13:36:39","date_gmt":"2023-11-17T13:36:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hw54cbngfn.preview.infomaniak.website\/?post_type=publication&#038;p=7644"},"modified":"2025-04-17T13:36:39","modified_gmt":"2025-04-17T13:36:39","slug":"sportymentor-sport-and-mentoring-help-disadvantaged-young-people","status":"publish","type":"publication","link":"https:\/\/pourlasolidarite.eu\/en\/publication\/sportymentor-sport-and-mentoring-help-disadvantaged-young-people\/","title":{"rendered":"SportyMentor : Sport and mentoring to help disadvantaged young people !"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The SportyMentor project aims to use <strong>mentoring and sport as tools to stimulate<\/strong> cognitive, behavioural and emotional <strong>changes in young people aged 13 to 19<\/strong> in difficulty, in order to strengthen their motivation to pursue a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Youth in Europe<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>aim of this first <\/strong>part of the guide is to :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Get a better idea of the<strong> identity of the &#8220;young&#8221; public<\/strong> at European level<\/li>\n<li>Identify <strong>European and international policies<\/strong> that take account of their needs<\/li>\n<li>Identify and understand the <strong>main sources of disadvantage<\/strong> for these young people<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Understanding who these target groups are<\/strong> and familiarising ourselves with their reality and the different challenges they face in each country of the consortium will enable us to develop a programme that is flexible, transferable and, above all, based on their real needs.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Support for disadvantaged young people<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>This section of the guide <strong>explores the needs of young people through<\/strong> the social and emotional learning framework developed by <strong>CASEL<\/strong> (<em>Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning<\/em>) and how these needs can be met through physical activity and mentoring.
