Mentor-U: dare to sponsor!

Projet

The acute problem of unemployment in Wallonia is multi-factorial: lack of training for candidates, over-evaluation of recruitment criteria, lack of mobility, inadequate language skills… All these issues can be resolved when all the players involved work together: education, vocational training, companies and social and professional integration players.

Visit skills sponsorship – putting the skills of working professionals at the service of social initiatives – is in line with the desire of companies and individuals to get involved in the economic development of their region. Mentoring job-seekers addresses the problems of support and discouragement faced by the target audience, and compensates for the handicap of the  lack of a professional network; confronts this same target audience with the reality of the corporate world, seen from the inside.
