The European think & do tank POUR LA SOLIDARITÉ-PLS is dedicated to strengthening the European Union’s social cohesion through innovative initiatives in the fields of disability, social protection, health, human services, poverty, socio-professional integration and social clauses.

Building a new social contract involves :

  • promote participation by all in decision-making processes and joint social projects
  • re-establishing links between civil society, the market and the state
  • strengthen and create a sense of belonging to the company

Professional and Civic Inclusion of Young People through Culture: Video Festival and Advocacy

In September, the city of Turin hosted the international short film festival “Moonstep”, an event entirely organized by young people from Belgium, Italy, and Hungary. More than just a film showcase, this festival served as a true springboard for the sociocultural and professional inclusion of young European adults.

BE OFF by BE UNIT: Supporting young people in organising a video festival

BE OFF was one of three short film pre-selection events organised by young people as part of BE UNIT – a European project that aims to develop the skills of young people in Belgium, Italy and Hungary in the fields of audiovisual media, event management and advocacy strategies.

The partners in the Skills to Connect project are working on an online course to train people in basic digital skills. They recently met in Porto.

Training in Italy to boost employability and active citizenship among young adults

Together in Italy, POUR LA SOLIDARITÉ – PLS and its partners ran a series of training workshops for 45 young adults from Italy, Hungary and Belgium, to develop their audiovisual skills and active citizenship.

The BE UNIT project aims to improve the employability of young European adults in the film and video production labour market, as well as their active citizenship.

APIA: training on feeding people with autism

Coordinated by Les Insatiables (Groupe SOS, France), the Erasmus+ APIA project, of which POUR LA SOLIDARITÉ-PLS is a partner, aims to improve the theoretical and technical knowledge of care professionals concerning the nutrition of adults with autism, so that they are better able to support them in their eating habits and promote their well-being and autonomy.

SKILLS TO CONNECT: Digital skills at the service of seniors

Supported by Erasmus+, the SKILLS TO CONNECT project aims to enable current and future professionals working with senior citizens to acquire basic digital skills.
