Reform of the banking system – horizon magazine

We need to return to a diverse, small-scale banking system in order to reduce the risk of another financial crisis, according to Professor Eckhard Hein. He was interviewed by the European Commission’s magazine dedicated to research and innovation: Horizon.

Professor Eckhard Hein of the Berlin School of Economics and Law, one of the key players of the FESSUD project, calls for a return to banking services that meet the needs of small and medium-sized companies and households at local and regional level.

FESSUD combines the expertise of 14 universities and 1 civil society organization in order to develop a new perspective on how the financial system affects the world around us.
