Responding to violence against women: guide for companies

Far from being spared, companies are also impacted by gender-based violence committed outside the workplace by employing perpetrators or victims: absenteeism, productivity losses, safety risks for the worker and coworkers…

If statistics are missing on the number of working perpetrators and victimes, the drepressingly high rates of gender violence in Europe makes render unlikely the immunity of companies. In Europe, 22% of women have experienced at least one episode of physical and/or sexual violence by a partner since the age of fifteen. They are 43% to have experiences forms of psychological violence by a partner.

As companies, how to respond? What prevention and support measures to set up? With what partners? For what results? All these questions are addressed in this guide for companies “Responding to violence against women”.
