The fourth issue of the biannual newsletter of the 4OneAnother project is available! In this fourth edition, we invite you to discover the results of the actions carried out in this project, which aims at improving the integration of Unaccompanied and Separated Children (UASC) in Europe and Belgium. This newsletter presents the finalization of the themes of the training for professionals working with UASC that will be freely accessible in 2023, as well as the results of the fifth transnational meeting of the partners in The Hague, the Netherlands.

The reception of LGBTQIA+ asylum seekers and refugees in Europe

On Wednesday 12 October, POUR LA SOLIDARITÉ-PLS and its European partners closed the Rainbow Welcome project with a conference at the European Parliament (Brussels). A look back at this event which brought together around one hundred people, including refugees, civil society actors, project partners and MEPs.

A campaign to raise awareness of the specific issues and needs of LGBTIQ+ asylum seekers and refugees

The cornerstone of the reception and integration of LGBTIQ+  asylum seekers is undoubtedly the visibility of the problem and the issues related to it. The European campaign #RainboWelcome aims to raise awareness among the public, social workers and public authorities on this issue. A photo and video campaign to be discovered on all online platforms from the end of the summer in Belgium, France, Italy and Spain.

The Sporty Mentor project aims to use mentoring and sport as tools to stimulate change in young people with challenging behaviour. This project supported by the Erasmus+ programme gathers 6 partners, including POUR LA SOLIDARITE-PLS.

The notion of “safe country” threatens the rights of LGBTIQ+ refugees

On the occasion of World Refugee Day on 20 June 2022, the Rainbow Welcome! – project consortium – which brings together the French Fondation Le Refuge, the Belgian Refuge Bruxelles and POUR LA SOLIDARITÉ-PLS, the Spanish ACATHI and the Italian Croce Rossa Italiana – has published a joint statement on the notion of safe country of origin and its influence on LGBTQIA+ asylum seekers.

#CEASE_violence : When employers take action against domestic violence

24% of women over the age of 15 have already been victims of domestic violence, and this figure rises to around 30% if we include psychological violence, and it is precisely to combat this violence that the CEASE network was created in 2017: a network of employers who are committed to observing common and ambitious practices to combat domestic violence in the workplace.

Funded by Erasmus+, the APTE (A pathway to employment) project aims to support young people with few or no qualifications as well as adults over 45 in their search for employment, while enabling the social economy sector to expand in line with the objectives of sustainable development.
