Break the glass ceiling: tools for social and conventional enterprises

Under the Gender Balance Power Map project, seven organisations from six European countries have joined forces to better understand professional gender equality in small and medium enterprises. The project partners thus publish a Guide of best practices and recommendations with the aim of facilitating women’s access to decision-making positions in companies from both the conventional and the social economy.

On 3 March 2016, POUR LA SOLIDARITÉ along with the Gender Balance Power Map project partners, in the frame of the 10th Brussels JUMP Forum, a European conference entitled “Social and conventional enterprises co-inspiring each other to promote gender opportunities”. Will contribute to this event several European decision-makers and female top-managers.

Mentor-U: dare to sponsor!

MentorU is a project in which professionally active volunteers (employees, entrepreneurs, self-employed people) provide support to jobseekers. This FOREM project is part of the Youth Guarantee program, which aims to “prevent young people from experiencing a period of unemployment on leaving school, thereby limiting the risk of unemployment afterwards and facilitating the transition to working life”. It is being implemented in collaboration with the BeFace network, Olivier Brissaud and Cachamas, with the support of the King Baudouin Foundation and the National Lottery.

Involvement of companies in the fight against gender-based violence in Belgium

One of the main activities of the “CARVE – Companies against gender violence” project consisted in carrying out qualitative national studies that aimed at presenting the national legal and social backgrounds as well as the way violence committed against women is treated by companies. In this national study, POUR LA SOLIDARITÉ presents the results of the field investigation carried in Belgium.
